Shipping

Shipping Policy Page: Most items may be shipped via US Priority Mail or FedEx Ground/Home. Rates are calculated at the end of the Checkout; freight items are calculated and shipping is billed separately unless ordered over the phone. Shipping costs for orders placed are based on a minimal shipping amount. An order containing multiple items typically receives a volume-shipping discount and therefore your total shipping and handling cost may be lower than the sum of an individually shipped item. To upgrade your shipping method, your order must be received and clear credit authorization by 12:00 (noon) EST. Unless otherwise informed, you can expect delivery of your order within 3-8 business days. Business days are Monday-Friday, excluding federal holidays within the United States. Returned “Undeliverable”: If a package is returned “undeliverable” and the address that was given on the order was put on the shipping label as given, Thompson Sporting Goods, Inc. will not be responsible for the cost of reshipping. We will be happy to help you figure out why it was not delivered as requested, but as the customer, you will be responsible for the cost of the reshipping and will not receive a refund if you decide to cancel the order.

Tracking Your Package: By providing an email address at the time of your order, this will insure you are notified when your package has shipped. You will receive the notice via the shipping method, either directly from the USPS or FedEx websites. If the item must be drop shipped from a different location you will receive an email from Angela at Thompson Sporting Goods, Inc – tsg@tds.net notifying you of the shipping method and tracking. This will also include all freight shipped items.

Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO or US Territory addresses: Due to restrictions we will only ship items via US Priority Mail to these locations. The following items cannot be shipped via US Postal Service at this time: items over 70 lbs, freight only items and flammable items.

Freight Delivery: All tables must ship via freight. Thompson Sporting Goods, Inc. retains the right to ship ONLY to the lower 48 Domestic US States. Some heavy or oddly shaped items must be shipped alone via a freight trucking company. Usually, oversized items arrive in 7-14 full business days after leaving the warehouse. (An estimate of when a product leaves the warehouse will be indicated at the time the order is placed.) Business days are Monday-Friday, excluding federal holidays within the United States. Because the item is larger and heavier, it can only be sent via ground freight; therefore we cannot offer expedited shipping. The freight trucking company is not responsible for unloading the item from the truck or carrying the item into the building. Your item is likely to be heavy and large; therefore we recommend you have someone with you to help you unload the item and bring it inside. Products indicating “Inside Delivery” will include delivery over the first threshold of your home or building. It does not include flights of stairs, assembly or debris removal. Freight shipped items can only be shipped to the “billing” address of which the customer’s credit card company has authorized. The item cannot be shipped to an alternate “shipping” address without pre-approval BEFORE placing the order.

Package Inspection: Thompson Sporting Goods, Inc. strives to send out quality and correct items. We only sell “new” items; you will never receive a “used” item from Thompson Sporting Goods, Inc. When you receive your package we ask that you inspect the items for accuracy and defects within 2 days of receiving the package. If we have made a mistake, we will gladly replace the item or ship what was missing. If the incorrect item was ordered we will gladly exchange the item. For exchanges please see our “returns” page for details. If the package was damaged upon receipt, we ask that you keep all the original packaging and make a note with your carrier at the time of delivery. Please inspect the items for any damage and contact Thompson Sporting Goods, Inc. within 24 hours of delivery.

Freight Shipping Charges: To accurately calculate the shipping charges for a freight item, please contact us at tsg@tds.net or call us at 800-707-1901 with the item in question and a full delivery address. Please note if the delivery address will be a residential or commercial delivery. (Commercial cannot be a business in a home environment) If commercial delivery, please provide if the location has a loading dock available as a loading dock will help lessen the costs. Thompson Sporting Goods, Inc. deals with a notable freight broker that strives to give us the best shipping rates available and we gladly pass on the savings to our customers. Once the shipping charge has been calculated we will notify you of the cost involved and either take your order over the phone or send an invoice for the order via PayPal.

International Shipping: ALL International orders’ shipping charges are only an estimate. Actual shipping charges are calculated once the order has been properly packaged for the journey and weighed. Although the site calculates a shipping amount when the order is placed, there are times, depending on the country of destination, that additional shipping charges are needed. We strive to find the best and least expensive method available and do apologize in advance for times when we must ask for additional fees to cover the shipping costs. These additional fees are not automatically charged to your card as our PCI compliance guidelines prohibit our system from keeping your credit card number once your order has been placed. At the point we calculate any additional charges that may be needed we will in turn send you an email explaining the costs. Once we have done this, we will then send by email an invoice through PayPal for the additional fees. For those customers who do not use or have a PayPal account, PayPal offers the ability to pay with a regular credit card, just follow the prompts. So please make sure your email address is input correctly when placing your order should we need to contact you. Please note that your order cannot be shipped unless the additional fees are received.
